Hi, I’m Paul. I like to take on new projects and tasks, often without finishing the previous project or task. Therefore it’s completely in character for me to register a domain, install WordPress, and write about having too much to do at the same time I’m starting on my private pilot’s license, joining a new (family) gym, and kicking off the school year with scouting and sports.
Apart from being a husband since 1994 and a father of 3 (girl/boy/boy, ages 11/9/6) I have a few other ways to keep busy. To pay the bills I’m a senior software engineer (Java) and a Major in the Air Force Reserves. Both sons are in Cub Scouts; I’m the assistant Cubmaster for our pack. I’m a frustrated entrepreneur with multiple sure-fire business ideas percolating in my head. I’m a homeowner who sort of gets things done around the house. Sometimes.
As I mentioned I’m learning to fly. I’ve got arcade machines, video, pictures also awaiting my attention. I’m a Night Elf Rogue in World of Warcraft…though I haven’t done much rogue-ing in a while. I won’t even start on the books and board games I’d like to play but don’t have the time. And there’s the gym, too. And a low-mileage bike. Camping, anyone?
If I could drop one thing I’d stop going to work. Sadly, work provides the means for me to pursue all these other pursuits.
One last thing – I hate blogs. I rarely read them, and only a few do I glance at sporadically. How so many can write so much about so little is beyond me. I guess I’ll add “hypocrite” to the list of hats I wear.
If you’d like to write to me, drop me a note.
