When I was in elementary school, my cousin swallowed a sand spur (doubt you have those up there, it's kind of an overgrown seed with thorns all over it). He got taken to the hospital for that. No one was quite sure why he swallowed it, but I can assure you, he never did it again. Glad to hear that your son is ok.
